The Janarama Show Post-Thanksgiving Special

November 25, 2011

Today I’m giving the free gift of music. All it costs me is an internet connection.

All day, I’ve been posting songs on An Attitude Adjustment’s Facebook page for a special post-Thanksgiving soundtrack. The day after Thanksgiving is almost as good as Thanksgiving itself, as long as you keep far, far away from any retail establishment. (Seriously, you’ll know the apocalypse has come if you find me running people down in a megastore in search of a random electronic item.)

As a way to reject consumerism altogether, join me in a free celebration of great songs (and singers). Consider it my thanks to you for reading my little blog.

(Remember, I have a special talent when it comes to selecting music. If you doubt my powers, read this first Janarama post.)

I always give my mixes a name. This one is called Quiet and Gray. (Warning: I have a penchant for women and pianos.)

Enjoy!

Natalie Merchant, “Life Is Sweet”

Echo & the Bunnymen, “Lips Like Sugar”

Nina Simone–The Queen of Soul–”If You Knew”

Morrissey–The King of England–”Everyday Is Like Sunday”

Carole King–clearly, a King–”One Fine Day”

Better Than Ezra, “At the Stars”

Carly Simon, “That’s the Way I Always Heard It Should Be”

Ain’t technology grand?
