Put on your headphones. Find Feist’s album, Metals, and hit play. (Then scroll down.)
Walk out the door, down the steps onto the leaf-littered grass. Make a right at the end of your street.
At every corner, the trees gracefully flip their hair.
Walk until you reach the park.
Wander home before dark.
Repeat once a day.

I’ve been seeing the trees in their beautiful bright splendor and in each passing wishing I had a decent camera with me. I love fall.

Love the idea of “trees gracefully flip(ping) their hair”! This is my favorite season, and you’ve just shown me why!
It’s my favorite season, too! (In Chinese medicine, Metal is the element associated with fall, which is why I think Feist named her album that. But she won’t confess.)
I forget how much I love autumn until I see the colors embrace me with their warmth. Thanks for this. Made me smile even on a particularly tough Monday morning, battling the post-birthday-party blues (as in clean-up time). :)
I was more interested to hear if you had this album. Do you? And if you don’t, get it! It will make you happy.
I love the line about “trees flipping their hair.” Alas, it’s been so freaking windy around here, there’s not a scrap of hair to be found!

Love this stroll. And I love the line about the trees flipping their hair.
