Biography at 1 year, 9 Months

August 21, 2011

If Allison Weir, celebrated British royal biographer, were to leap into the future and write about my daughter centuries after her magnificent life, I believe the story would begin something like this:

Madeleine was clever, though her red hair symbolized an uneven temperament and a penchant for theatrics. Even at the tender age of 21 months, her needs were indeed complicated, often obscure.

Some went so far as to compare her exasperating, unpredictable disposition to her mother’s at the very same age.

In fact, her matriarchal lineage was full of women whose countenances were exceptionally revealing when people dared not cater to their desires.

Fabulous. Love it. And am exceptionally jealous of the red hair. xo

Never fear. You are not alone. This age may be slowly killing me. :)

Redheads rule when it comes to attitudes… but it sure looks like an adjustment was needed for her mother.. what a scowl! First class!

While Nana does not understand all the ways she can use the internet or want to, Maddie her little love, will always have this internet or cell phone, my littlest love, because you belong to the diminishing red head club and going through this crazy society, will always have Nana (or your Dad) for guidance. What do we always say to our little loves. “Pop Pop and Nana love their Ben and Maddie, “Infinity.” Always and forever, Pop Pop and Nana

Your daughter looks so pissed – as if to say “don’t F* with me!” I’m so sorry because it looks like you are going to have your hands full with that one at about age now until she’s 22 and out on her own. Oh and just wait for those hormones to kick in – ouch!

Of course I must counter with how freakin’ cute that red hair is on her. And the dress is adorable too – one of the things I secretly miss about having all boys.
